Don’t quit your day job!

Hi, I am Athena!! I am a wife, a twin mom, and a teacher! I LOVE JESUS, coffee, running, and all things Target! If you love positivity and affordable style; you have come to the right place!! I am so GLAD you are here!

For 19 years I was a classroom teacher- I have taught more students than I can count. I never stuck to one grade level – rather I would move grades every couple of years to keep things “fresh!” It was in my final year of third grade that I began to search for a new challenge. I began to pray about what could be next for my career. My journals began to fill with prayers specifically on impacting more students.  How I could impact students beyond my classroom?

I prayed

He answered!

I moved into the roll as an instructional coach for our school. This role is that of an educational leader that builds capacity in others. This is where God wants me to be. My job is to create a positive learning environment that provides continuous job embedded opportunities for professional development by supporting and creating a culture of collaboration. Teachers can also come grab a snack, a cup of coffee, or a conversation in a safe place!

I am impacting all the people in my building and beyond. Exactly where God has placed me to be!
